A Memorial Tribute
early Thursday morning, July 16, 2009
North Haven Manor, Long Island, NY
With Urgency

I saw the golden light
& I was calm
farewell, lonely friend…

A storm approaches
turning sparkling sunshine
to eerie darkness

taken too soon
a phrase heard
very often lately

freed from the tumult of life
freed from the torture
of endless human judgement
fly free
young man
be unbound by the dark constraints
of earthly existence
fly free
& roam amongst
the dark brilliant
star filled
evening skies
never to be summoned
to toil
amongst the living again.

old soul
take your rightful place
duly earned
during a brief
but arduous existence

fly free
& enjoy us from a distance
we can not miss
what we never knew

you…could not be.

The Proposition
mourns the passing of Dash Snow
a brilliant colleague
with whom we had the honor
of sharing
the creation of AMERICAN CONCENTRATION CAMP,
June 29- August 5,2006
we enjoyed
his boundless energy
as he spray painted
his cinderblocks black
& carried their heavy weight
up our stairs
& drove large nails
into his photographs
on our walls

boundless energy
helping his friends
Nico & Ry
create a showcase
for their talent
in our humble abode.
From teenage insanity
to the dry desolation of LA
he refused to communicate———
desperately searching
into the deep well
of his creative soul
never finding contentment
only more endless passageways
to nowhere.

Another Summer of discontent
continues.

Ronald Sosinski,
Director
The Proposition
